Micaela Strevay, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner who brings a compassionate, trauma-informed approach to patient care at My Buoyant Health in Phoenix, Arizona. With a background as a former flight nurse and more than a decade of experience in emergency, critical care, and prehospital medicine, Micaela understands how deeply stress, trauma, and life experiences can affect mental and physical well-being.
Micaela is especially passionate about supporting first responders, a community she feels is often underserved in mental health care. Her firsthand experience working in high-pressure medical environments allows her to connect with patients through both clinical understanding and personal insight. She provides supportive, evidence-based care designed to help individuals manage stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, and other mental health concerns.
In addition to her work with first responders, Micaela has a strong interest in maternal mental health and caring for children and adolescents. She supports pregnant and postpartum women navigating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and provides age-appropriate psychiatric care tailored to the emotional and developmental needs of younger patients.
Because of her dual certification as both an FNP and PMHNP, Micaela takes a whole-person approach to treatment, recognizing the important connection between emotional wellness and physical health. She works collaboratively with patients and families to create personalized care plans focused on long-term healing, resilience, and overall well-being.
Micaela’s goal is to help every patient feel supported, understood, and empowered as they move from simply surviving to truly thriving.
